The Basilica of St. Nicholas ( Nicholas Church ) is a Roman Catholic church in the inner city of Amsterdam . The church, officially called Saint Nicholas in the Veste , was built in the period 1884-1887 to a design by the architect Adrianus Bleijs (1842-1912)
